What is Slow Stitching?
Slow Stitching is the meditative practice of hand sewing with intention and thoughtfulness whilst giving us the perfect time to take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life…..
This sewing method focuses on using simple hand stitching techniques and processes and gives total freedom for your creation. There is no “wrong way” to do slow stitching.
It is simply taking a piece of fabric, needle and thread and using simple stitch marks upon the textile and adding fabrics and bits of
detail as you sew. Going with the flow of your fabric, your mind, your thought process. This is no set pattern to follow, no embroidery lines to mark up. Instead you learn to listen to your innate sense of creativity and allow your hands to flow across the fabric.
Each of my slow stitching journals includes a token bag with small bits of fabric, thread, lace, buttons, and inspiration to start on your slow stitching journey.
